Scuba Review program
How about a Scuba Review, in salt water,
at The Downtown Aquarium?!
Is this right for you?
If you're a certified diver, but it's been three years (or less) since your last dive, then this is the perfect program for you. We'll review your equipment assembly procedures, refresh your dive skills and introduce you to some really amazing creatures - in a unique saltwater environment.
What do you need to begin?
- Be a certified diver from any recognized training organization
(you’ll need to provide proof of certification so please bring your certification card)
What‘s involved in the program?
- One of our PADI professionals will provide a few gear assembly reminders and then you'll enter the water. He/she will first demonstrate a specific skill and then ask you to repeat it. The skills you will perform include: Buoyancy Control, Various Mask Skills, Emergency Procedures, Sharing Air Techniques, Ascents/Descents, and several other skills that will help build your confidence, improve your comfort and get you ready for your upcoming adventure
How long will it take?
- Approximately 3 hours
(start time is 6 p.m., meet at the Aquarium in The Dive Lounge)
Course Fee: $225.00, which includes:
- One skills review dive in the Under the Sea exhibit
- Completion of the required in-water skills
- All equipment (including wetsuit)
- One free pool session in the A-1 Scuba and Travel Center swimming pool
(a great way to check out your own gear for free)
- A scuba review decal for your certification card.
Note: Due to concerns about exhibit contamination and animal safety you are only allowed to use your own mask.
Not included but highly recommended
- Scuba Tune-Up Workbook
- Diver's Log Book
- Dive Table, eRDP or computer
