Try Scuba at the Downtown Aquarium:
A quick and easy way to discover what
scuba is all about!

Ever since you can remember you've wanted to try scuba diving, right?
Maybe you watched a cool movie on television that had scuba divers in it or a friend of yours just got back from a trip to the "Islands" and dove with a dolphin, sea turtles and other neat critters.

So if you're interested -- and we know you are -- then come join us in one of our Try Scuba Diving experiences at the Denver Downtown Aquarium, in the Beneath the Sea Exhibit. It's lots of fun, easy to do and it takes very little time. Besides getting to blow bubbles underwater, you'll swim with a 400 pound Queensland Grouper, two giant Green Sea Turtles, two lazy Nurse Sharks and a whole bunch of other cool fish.

GETTING STARTED IS EASY

1. Either call or stop by A-1 Scuba and Travel Center and sign up for one of our Aquarium Try Scuba experiences or simply sign up online.

2. You'll need to complete a Discover Scuba Diving form. It contains three important items: PADI Medical Questionnaire, Liability Release and Assumption of Risk and a Knowledge & Safety Review. Complete all sections of the form and hand it to your A-1 professional on the day of your Try Scuba Experience.

IMPORTANT NOTE: A positive response to any of the medical questions on the Discover Scuba Diving Form will require that you consult a physician prior to entering the water. He/she will need to complete this form PADI Medical Statement and Guidelines for Recreational Scuba Diver’s Physical Examination and indicate that you are fit to scuba dive. Sorry, we cannot under any circumstances allow you to enter the water until all of the documents have been correctly completed.

3. You will also need to complete an Aquarium Scuba Diving Waiver. Complete the information and give it and the above mentioned documents to you're A-1 professional guide, at the Aquarium on the day of your Try Scuba Experience.

LET THE ADVENTURE BEGIN!

On the day of your Try Scuba Experience, you'll be met by your A-1 guide at 10:30 a.m. in the Divers Lounge at the Aquarium. Your guide will collect and review your paperwork and then escort you to the locker room area. Be sure to bring a pair of thongs/flip-flops, towel, swimsuit and any other personal items. From there you'll be escorted to the dive deck, fit for your diving equipment, given a dive briefing and then it's in the water for the experience of a lifetime!

This incredible experience is only $190 per person

You can start as early as 10 and as old as the hills!

WHAT TIME DOES IT BEGIN AND WHEN WILL I BE DONE?

We will be offering this program on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month.  The program begins at 10:30 a.m. You'll meet your A-1 Guide in the Divers Lounge. Depending on the number of people in the program you should be done by approximately 12:30 p.m. Of course, there are no guarantees so please be on time and be flexible.
